From a 1970s House to a Sustainable designer home
A 1970s house, reborn for today
This private house, built in the 1970s, is located in the southern Dutch town of Weert. The residents wanted to stay in their familiar surroundings, close to the town centre. Building a new house was not an option, as they wanted to be certain of the view and character of their immediate surroundings – something much harder to predict with a new build.
A designer upgrade: Sleek, sustainable facade with Rockpanel
The house was transformed into a designer home that combines luxury with a modern aesthetic while meeting current sustainability standards. To achieve this, an 'extra layer' was added to the facade, with Rockpanel chosen for its sleek, visually appealing finish.
Seamless surfaces and perfect colour matching with Rockpanel Colours
Rockpanel can be easily glued to the facade, creating a smooth, continuous surface. With Rockpanel Colours available in a wide range of shades, the residents were able to select the perfect colour to match their ceramic tiles.
Seamless elegance: Rockpanel Colours integrating roof and facade
The front of the house features an elegant stucco finish that complements the overall design. The combination of flat tiles and Rockpanel Colours facade panels in the same colour creates the illusion that the panels seamlessly extend from the roof down the facade. The cladding visually integrates with the roof, giving the home a cohesive, sophisticated appearance.
